The upgrade of our Pt Augusta depot is now complete. Featuring a large canopy and concrete hardstand capable of dealing with the 5-6 b-doubles moving through each night, we have also upgraded to low energy LED high bay lighting.

Our site also now has its own 35,000 litre diesel fuel tank, which when combined with the same in our Whyalla depot gives us fuel security to ensure continuity of service should the need arise.

With the Pt Augusta site servicing multiple runs to Ceduna, Roxby Downs, Leigh Creek and the Mid-North as well as being a key junction for linehaul to Whyalla and Pt Lincoln, the upgrade and expansion will further enhance our service capabilities and work environment for staff.

We are very proud to have been awarded the multi-year contract for all metropolitan and regional distribution for SA Health from their DC in Adelaide.

With the contract kicking off from May 21st, Cochrane's was selected based around the quality and flexibility of our IT solution, our client engagement and problem solving as well as the overall service package being offered. It was also heartening that a South Australian owned and operated business was chosen.

The South Australian Mallee Region is a wonderful collection of small towns and productive farming communities toward the SA/VIC border area. We recognise that the area should have the same service levels as the rest of regional SA, and are very proud to announce that from May we have commenced daily express services to Karoonda, Lameroo and Pinnaroo.

The new service will build upon the existing paper and bread deliveries that Cochrane's has provided for decades, giving shippers a next day express service with supply chain visibility.
